Hi there!
It’s so cool, and a bit scary, that you came to read more about me. I am a 26 year old Swede who very much enjoys crocheting. So much in fact, that I started a blog just so I could share my creations and their patterns with you!
Crochet
I taught myself how to crochet in September of 2015, through the abundance of free resources available on the Internet. I don’t really know why, I guess I was bored. But you know, all of a sudden I’d ordered a hook and some yarn and was crocheting some stuff. I’ll admit I really had no idea what I was doing, but it was so much fun! There’s no limit to what can be accomplished with a hook and some yarn!
I haven’t been crocheting for a long time, but I’ve made some progress, as you can probably tell from the image above. I’m usually a jack of all trades, master of none kind of person, but with crocheting I feel really comfortable. I started designing my own patterns, both amigurumi and other stuff, in the summer of 2016. And I’d say I’m okay at it. The pig in the image above is my own design while the bear is the first amigurumi I ever made, following a pattern by Sharon Ojala. Go check out her blog where she posts loads of great and free amigurumi patterns.
What else?
Crocheting is not the only thing that I enjoy spending my time doing, I also like music (in particular singing), gaming, programming, watching all kinds of shows, and just hanging out with my boyfriend, friends and family.
In August of 2018 I finally received my Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and Master’s degree in Computer Science. After studying for more than five years (!) I almost cried when they came in the mail.
My patterns
I work full time as a Scrum Master (team leader-ish) and backend developer and I’m a bit of a perfectionist, which is why I can’t post patterns as often as I’d like. But when I do post a pattern, I have put a lot of work into it to assure its quality. If you find any errors in my patterns I’d love to know so I can fix them as soon as possible.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy your stay here on the blog. If you’ve followed one of my patterns I would love it if you’d share it with me! @NeaCreates
Happy hooking!
